These little burgers may be small, but they pack lots ‘o flava! I made these a while back and my friends loved it. I’ve since perfected the BBQ sauce by adding a shot of bourbon. The combination of the sweet/woody flavoured sauce and the kick from the peppercorn will leave your taste buds confused with flavour!
Mix together ground beef, eggs, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Form beef mixture into small patties. Patties should be a little larger than the bun size as they'll shrink when cooked. Preheat BBQ to medium-high heat and grill burgers until desired doneness. When sliders are almost done place slices of cheddar on top to melt. Place sliders on bun and slap on some Sweet Hickory-Bourbon sauce (be generous).
Directions for Sweet Hickory Sauce:
In a bowl, mix together hickory BBQ sauce maple syrup and Dijon mustard and bourbon.
