Quick & Easy Beef Wellington

  • 700 grams of lean ground beef
  • 3 packages of 227g Pillsbury Crescent dough
  • ½ white onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 12 medium mushrooms
  • Olive oil
  • French onion soup mix
  • 12 Swiss cheese slices
  • 150 grams of Black forest ham


In a pan, sauté chopped onions with olive oil until caramelized. Add chopped mushrooms, salt, pepper and finish sautéing until done.

In another pan, sauté ground beef with garlic with ½ package French onion soup mix until beef is fully cooked.

Lay out 3 sheets of crescent roll dough, overlapping each to make a larger sheet. Pinch pre-cut areas to make sure they don’t separate.

Start by adding a layer of black forest ham, then add slices of swiss cheese then finally add beef mixture, sautéed onions and mushrooms.

Roll up dough and toppings into a log, being sure to rupture dough while doing so. Using a fork, prick the top of the log several times to allow moisture to escape. Pinch the sides of the log to prevent cheese from oozing out.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place on baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake for ~30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
