Pumpkin spice latte

Description

Been to the US many times in the "fall" and love the special seasonal lattes. This one ive been trying to perfect for a while.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Mace
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 / 4 shots espresso, about 1/4 cup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped until firm peaks form

Instructions

heat the pumpkin and spices in a pan for a few mins, until you can smell the warm spices.
Stir in sugar to taste.
Warm the milk and Vanilla don't let it boil.
Mix the milk with the coffee and pumpkin spice mixture, pour into two large mugs, top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
All measurements are a rough guess, just change to suit yourself.
If you find the pumpkin too harsh just use less.
It will keep in the fridge for a week.
