I learned to make this because it was passed down for 4 generations. My great-grandmother. I remember her and I so miss her, so it is memories that come back every time I make these cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Vanilla Wafers
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (you can add more if you chose)

Instructions

Crush the vanilla wafers (I put them in a mixer to do so, but you can also use a rolling pen) they must be like dust, make sure there is no clumps...if the wafers are not crushed complely the cookies will be rough to eat.
Add the can of condensed milk mix together (I use my hands, I have never used anything else so I do not know if it will turn out with using a mixer)
Add the pecans (again it is easier to mix with your hands)
Put on buttered tin foil (it needs to be covered with butter) Take and make a roll, then wrap it in the foil you should end up with a log. Place in the fridge and let it set. Bring it out and slice into cookie slice (you can decide just how think you would like them to be. I cut them at about 1 inch thick). Eat and enjoy
