These chicken wings really live up to the Tennessee standard with smoky flavours of paprika, mustard and garlic marinated and lovingly grilled through these tender treats. Best served with cornbread and baked beans.
To make the seasoning dry rub for the chicken, whisk together in a small bowl; the paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, dry mustard, garlic powder, cumin, the celery seeds and the salt. Transfer 1/4 of the mixture into another bowl and set aside.
Rub the 3/4 of the spice rub onto and all over the chicken wings, make sure to coat evenly. Let it rest.
Pre-heat the grill to medium low.
In a small bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, the mustard and salt. Place the chicken wings on the grill bone-side down and cover, turning occasionally for 30 to 40 minutes.
Whilst grilling, brush the chicken with the vinegar mixture and keep basting to keep it lovely and moist. Once ready, sprinkle the remaining 1/4 bowl of spice mixture and you're good to go.
